“Your Community Doorway”
FOCUS St. Pete is a community orientation program for professionals who are eager to establish civic relationships and learn more about the inner workings of the community with a minimum expenditure of time. The program is sponsored by the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association and the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce®.
OBJECTIVES
- Broaden professionals’ working knowledge of community leadership, landmarks, and resources
- Inform participants about the issues and challenges facing the city
- Provide direction and connections for social and community engagement
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Professionals (and their spouses/partners) from both the private and public sectors. Candidates generally have recently relocated, accepted new or expanded professional responsibilities, or are simply looking to learn more about the St. Petersburg area.
THE PROGRAM EXAMINES
- The history of the St. Petersburg area
- The challenges and opportunities of the present and future
- Local leadership and civic structure
- Community resources, assets, and opportunities for engagement
